  • About Korkfarbe

Protekork is the result of more than nine years of work. This specially developed product for construction and industry alone offers a lot of properties that would otherwise only be possible by combining several products.

A product that can transfer the properties of cork to almost any surface, a material that is practically infusible and that does not dissolve in water, alcohol, chloroform or acid. It also has water-repellent, sound-absorbing and protective properties. Has elasticity, flexibility and low thermal conductivity (0.039).

Once applied and dried, the end product retains all of the cork's natural properties, which are further enhanced by additional components. These additional components also give it other properties, such as high adhesion to almost any surface.

Protekork enables the properties of natural cork to be used in various areas such as construction, industry, nautical, automotive, aeronautical ... It can be applied to almost any surface: porous or smooth surfaces, indoor or outdoor, metal, ceramic, glass, wood, asbestos cement , straight or corrugated surfaces or on other mortar. It can also be covered with plaster, plaster, all types of coatings and tiles, wood and paints or used as a finishing in one of the available variants, colors and grain sizes.

    PROTEKORK FAÇADE:

Inside or outside cladding (heat and sound insulation), decoration. Waterproof and weatherproof. High color stability.

    PROTEKORK WATERPROOF:

for all types of waterproofing, 100% waterproof, high weather resistance, without primers or reinforcement mesh. High color durability.

Application Korkfarbe

Learn everything you need to know

  • Application

    It is particularly suitable as

    · Thermal insulation

    · Soundproofing

    · Interior insulation

    · Facade cladding

    · Basics for all types of cladding (plaster, wood, paint, tiles)

    as well as:

    · Indoor mold prevention

    · Avoiding condensation in damp rooms

    · Removal of moisture stains

    · Sealing materials

Vibration avoidance e.g. on galvanized sheets

    · Application in boat building

Coating of aluminum e.g. in boat building

    · Decoration

All about Protekork cork paint, possible applications and properties.

    Cork color facade:

    · Protects particularly against heat, since even the strongest sunlight cannot heat the temperature of the cork above 40 °.

    · Protects against the cold (K 0.039) because it seamlessly surrounds the entire house like a wetsuit, prevents the ingress of moisture and prevents condensation

Property also minimizes the evaporation cold that normally occurs.

    · Keeps the masonry dry so that it retains its original insulation value.

    · As a secondary effect, it always has sound-absorbing properties and reduces the echo throw.

    · Minimizes the formation of condensation and thus deprives fungi and algae of the basis of life.

    · Does not release toxic gases in the event of fire.

Is extremely resistant to UV radiation and can be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner (50 cm distance) contains no biocides, it can therefore be used in sensitive areas (kindergartens, schools)

    · Is open to diffusion.

Is particularly suitable for the insulation of historic buildings e.g. Old town house facades, the face of the facade is hardly influenced by the 5mm thick coating. Even insulated facades that have cracks will be renovated over the long term by the permanently flexible coating.

    · Is applied in layers of approx. 1.5 mm.

Many houses have sufficiently thick walls so that a cork coating is an ecologically and economically sensible insulation.

    Cork color in the interior:

    · Can insulate without cavities or thermal bridges and prevent mold growth.

Is particularly suitable for damp rooms, even on ceilings, since there is no risk of dripping due to the avoidance of condensation.

    · Is a good alternative to tiles in wellness areas, indoor pools, saunas, etc.

    · Can also be sprayed onto round surfaces and enable new designs.

For example, promotes a more intimate atmosphere in massage areas by minimizing echo throws

Is also suitable for improving acoustics e.g. in concert halls, cinemas, hi-fi rooms or halls.

    · As a waterproof variant, it is also a durable alternative for industrial damp rooms.

    · It is also ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation of stairwells.

    Cork paint on wood:

    · Is able to enclose wood in the long term and thus makes temporary painting unnecessary.

    · Can be used as a filler to fill cracks in the wood or between wood.

    · Can seal wooden panels long-term, weatherproof.

    · Gives simple OSB wooden structures an extraordinary design.

    Cork paint on metal:

    · Can be used as corrosion protection, for thermal and acoustic insulation as well as to avoid vibrations. Its condensation-preventing property makes a coating of sheet metal e.g. useful in wagon construction, or in measuring and living containers. Ventilation ducts, gutters and downspouts can also be coated.

    · Insulates and minimizes impact noises on corrugated iron (zinc) and insulates ship hulls (aluminum, steel)

    More about cork color:

    · It is ideally suited for coating bathing platforms.

    · Non-slip even when wet.

    · Can be sprayed on roofs to find a secure hold in the slope.

    · Can insulate up to 40% of the impact sound.

    · Made in all colors

    · Made individually for each customer.

    · Is solvent free

    · Is silicone free.

    · Is acid-proof and resistant to many chemicals.

    · Is 90% a renewable raw material.

    · Can be painted over.

Can become incombustible by adding special substances, e.g. for use in industry

    · Is a heat-resistant coating that does not release bad smells
